Just footsteps (14 to be precise!) level walkout from your own private deck to the waters edge on Welcome Beach.  Nestled in Halfmoon Bay (equi-distance between the ferry terminal of Langdale in Gibsons and Earls Cove in Egmont and a mere 3 hours from Whistler), Welcome Beach is one of the Sunshine Coasts hidden gems!!  Enjoy beach life and the very best that West Coast wildlife has to offer, without even leaving your sun lounger – should you wish.  Watch the cruise liners glide past at sunset on balmy Summer evenings and wake up to sea otters and seals froliking in the water in front of you in the mornings and eagles soaring overhead ….. a little piece of heaven on earth.

Waters Edge on Welcome Beach is a newly built 800 sqft, completely self contained and beautifully appointed one bedroom vacation suite/cottage.  With its own separate entrance and parking, private deck, fully equipped kitchen and spacious  lounge/dining room with ‘picture’ floor to ceiling/wall to wall, patio windows – taking in one of the best views in the world (well, I may be a little biased, but I am not exaggerating – come see for yourself!!).  Following through to the separate king sized bedroom (which can be split easily to accommodate twin beds) is the hallway containing a washer and dryer.  Off the bedroom is a separate double sized shower room/washroom.

Your view from the suite encompasses the breathtaking, snowcapped mountains of Vancouver Island, just a matter of a few miles across the Georgia Strait on the ‘outer passage’ from Welcome Beach.  Also, on the ‘inner passage’ (to your left, looking out from the suite) is Merry Island with the only remaining manned lighthouse on the West Coast and, to the right, the southern point of Thormanby Island (with it's beautiful white sandy beaches) and the majestic Texada Island rising up behind that.

You will be hard pressed to tear yourself away from the stunning sunsets at night – but, should you manage to, then the pretty ocean front town of Sechelt, with it’s eclectic mix of shops, is a pretty 15 minutes drive away and offers an international array of eateries – some of which we would heartily recommend.  Please feel free to ask (especially as food, as prepared by others, is my favourite topic!!).

BOOKING:

We would like your time with us to be as enjoyable as possible so please let us know if there is anything we can provide in your suite before you arrive (ie., flowers, gift basket www.basketwishes.ca ) or any in suite Spa services or restaurant reservations that we can book for you in advance.

• Check in after 3pm
• Check out before 11am
• Based on 2 people  – please call to discuss possibility of children/extra person staying (charge of $30/night)
• Smoking strictly not permitted inside (outside only on beach)
• No pets allowed - apologies for this but we have a family pet and we also would like to ensure that our future guests (who may have allergies to animal hair) have a comfortable stay

Low season rates (October 1 - April 30) = $190 per night (based on two people)

High season rates (May 1 - September 30) = $230 per night (based on two people)

High and low season - stay 7 nights but only pay for 6 (based on two people)

A one night deposit (or 50% of your total stay cost – whichever greater) will be taken at the time of making your reservation (by credit card)

The remaining balance is due 14 days before arrival (payable by credit card also)

All reservations are guaranteed via receipt of your deposit

Rates are based on Canadian Dollars and not inclusive of taxes (5% GST)

We accept Visa, Mastercard and cash.

Cancellation Policy:

We have a 14 day cancellation policy – should you notify us of your change of plans 14 days prior to your date of arrival then we will be happy to refund you fully, however, if you cancel less than 14 days prior to your arrival date, then we reserve the right to fully charge for all/any nights that a replacement booking is not secured. We will, of course, endeavour to re-book whenever possible.
