Ten beautiful oceanside acres await you in Halfmoon Bay! A secluded cove nestles two private houses, both offer views of spectacular sunsets over the Malaspina Strait with Texada Island in the backdrop. You have your choice of a three-bedroom house or a boathouse studio apartment as your exclusive destination where you can relax and explore the Sunshine Coast. Try a kayak, diving or boating adventure right from your front door, or take a short drive to the numerous hiking and biking trails nearby. Sunset Cove is your home away from home in a gorgeous, natural setting, close to activities and amenities but with all the quiet peacefulness you desire.

Let's take a tour... From Vancouver, you'll drive to the Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal where you'll take a picturesque 40-minute ferry ride to the Sunshine Coast. Once you're on the other shore, follow the scenic Hwy. 101 (also called the Sunshine Coast Highway) past Gibsons and through Roberts Creek, Sechelt and on to Halfmoon Bay.

Upon arriving at Sunset Cove, driving through the beautifully wooded acreage immediately relaxes away your worries as you make your way down the drive to the shore. The first area you'll notice is a flat clearing, well-suited for storing any watercraft, trailers or other vehicles you may bring with you. You'll then begin to notice the breathtaking views as you enter the parking area adjacent to Falling Creek Cottage.

A rushing stream meanders through the woods, over a waterfall and down to the private cove just a few metres away from this three-bedroom cottage, perfect for your family's vacation. The master bedroom has ocean views, a queen-size bed and a full ensuite bath. There is another queen bed in the second bedroom, and bunk beds in the third - enough room to sleep six comfortably. Enjoy the ocean views while dining on the deck, in the family room or in the fully equipped kitchen. We've included a television and a VCR, a radio/cassette/CD player with a small library of movies, music, books and games. We'll also provide you with fresh spring drinking water, coffee, tea, basic condiments, and continental breakfast items for your first morning...so your first outing doesn't have to be to the grocery store.

A short walk down the stairway and around the edge of the cove, you come to the Boathouse. Upstairs, a cozy studio apartment has wide open views while providing everything you need for either a romantic getaway or a holiday with friends. While very comfortable for two on the queen hide-away mattress, there is also a queen-size futon if you need more sleeping space. Again, the fully equipped kitchen comes supplied with fresh water, snacks and continental breakfast goodies. You'll love listening to the gentle waves below as you relax or dine on the wrap-around deck overlooking the bay, but there is also a TV, VCR a music box and small audio/video library while inside. Plus there's an added bonus...you even have awesome views from your shower!!

The cove is ideal for launching your kayaks and exploring the coastline right from your front door. Either bring your own and store your gear in the boathouse, or call one of the fine kayak tour/rental companies in the area to bring it to you. Or explore your own ten acres to find other special spots on the property such as a campfire site overlooking the cove below, or numerous tenting areas for the kids and the more adventurous. Take a blanket up the trail that leads to a high bluff for the most magnificent vantage point for sunsets or the occasional passing cruise ship. You're also very close to many hiking and biking trails for even more opportunities to enjoy the outdoors on the beautiful Sunshine Coast!
