At Sevilla Island Resort we cater to couples and families wanting to experience the stunning beauty of British Columbia's Sunshine Coast but without having to carry a heavy backpack or sleep in a tent. The Resort and our activity packages enable our guests to experience the best wildlife and scenery that the coast has to offer yet still partake of the creature comforts that make for an enjoyable vacation. With the Resort set feet from the edge of the ocean you can see seals and eagles from your bed, look down from your balcony and see fish swimming in the ocean or swim/snorkel from the Resorts private float for a close up view of huge range of intertidal marine life.
The Resort is located on a small private island two minutes by boat from Lund Harbour at the top of BC's spectacular Sunshine Coast. There are five marine parks within 30 minutes of the Resort including the world famous Desolation Sound Marine Park. Savary Island, known as the Hawaiian Island of the north is visible from the Resort and offers sandy beaches and the warmest ocean water in Canada. The Ragged Islands archipelago, composed of over a dozen islands, offers diverse marine life viewing opportunities and is five minutes away by boat. Looking inland there are towering mountains, dense forests and 31 lakes accessible via hiking trails and logging roads.
We offer a wide range of activities including:
- two to six hour sea safari boat tours to Desolation Sound, the Ragged Islands, Savary Island, Mitlenatch Island and Cassel Falls
- self-guided biking, hiking and beachcombing tours of the sandy beaches and warm waters of Savary Island
- self-guided snorkeling tours around Sevilla Island
- guided kayaking and snorkeling tours of the rich marine life of the Ragged Islands
- guided or self-guided hiking tours of sections of the 180km Sunshine Coast trail
- 4x4 tours of the surrounding mountains, forests and inland lakes
- guided salt and fresh water fishing trips.
Due to our small size we can offer customized activity packages based on your interests.
The Resort offers some of the finest meals available on the Sunshine Coast featuring lots of fresh local seafood. A typical dinner would be Gunpowder Pumpkin Prawn soup with homemade bread followed by Salmon Wellington with a Sherried Mushroom Sauce with Frangelico Chocolate Mousse or Bananas Flambé for dessert. Due to our small size we are able to provide customized meals to work around allergies and food preferences as required. We are a licensed establishment with a large selection of single malt scotches and at least twelve wine selections in the cellar at all times. It’s not a vacation without great food!
Being on the inside of Vancouver Island we have some of the warmest and calmest ocean waters in Canada making it a very safe outdoor playground for beginners and experts alike. The Sunshine Coast boasts some of the best weather in the province and all of our activities are structured for guests from 10 to an active 75!
